2D Animation and Character for Digital Media

  • This course would be suitable for anyone who is interested in learning and doing 2D animation and character. This Digital Media Degree course is here to extend the students knowledge more about story telling and character creation approach encouraging groundbreaking and innovative visuals. Students media skills will be stretched, by developing a script, rendering artwork and film directing. The course’s duration is about 4 years long, full time sessions weekly in the main building. After completing the course, students will graduate with a BA (Hons) Degree.

  • Entry requirements needed for this course are 120 UCAS Tariff points from GCSE Maths and English. You at least need one A level in Art & Design or creative subject.
  • This course is interesting to me because I like the idea of how you can further develop your own character through convincing visuals and story telling. It’s also interesting that you could undertake sound design by doing voice overs, making soundtracks and writing your own music.

 

Computer Games Animation

  • This course will be suited for students who may want to get into computer animation in games design. The course will provide students with technical and creative routes to further develop in animating rigs, texture models and acting theory in animating characters. This course can also include work experience at optional UK game development companies. Graduation could ideally suit students career as a 2D or 3D animator in the film, TV, games or web industries.
  • This course is interesting to me because you learn more about acting theory for you character, drawing concept art and 2D and 3D character animation.

Entry Requirements

  • This 1 year full time course is only available to year 3 entry students who previously worked in Foundation Degree, HND or DipHE courses.

 

Concept Art for Games and Film

  • This course is meant to prepare students working in a advancing entertainment industry. Such as stretching each of the students skills in to developing expertly crafted 2D or 3D concept art in either the games or film industry. The course will also give students access to computer and gaming engine software programs and also media equipment too. Graduates could find a placement to popular game industries meeting their suited area.
  • This course is interesting to me because the course sounds good for further improving you artistic skills, both traditional and digital. The course is also in partnership with Epic Games, which provides the latest technology in game art development.

Cartoon and Comic Arts

  • This course is interesting to me because it offers a range of areas such as comics, graphic novels, character design, animation etc. There is also an opportunity to visit, network and sell your work at comic cons in London and Leeds.
